In 2002 Go Granny Go all began by supporting the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride to raise money for the Christie Hospital in Manchester.
And so began our annual 'gran' day out...

Manchester to Blackpool 2002
The six founder members of Go Granny Go cycled 62 miles from
Manchester to Blackpool dressed as old ladies and managed to
raise over £1000.
Amongst this group was Lee Rourke.
Lee was tragically lost in a car accident 9 months later.
